Dumped Prototypes
PLEASE HELP FINISHING THE PAGE BY ADDING THE CUT LEVELS AND CHANGES FROM BETA.
These prototypes have been preserved and released to the general public.

Croc 2 Sega- DreamcastApril Version30 1999 Prototype
(Link)
The Dreamcast version of Croc 2 was intended for release after the Playstation and PC versions, and was to add minigames, a new village with presumably two more normal levels (as per "forty-two levels to play in total"). It is unknown if a prototype exists, but Jez San mentioned the port was "canned" implying development didn't get very far, if at all. It was officially cancelled in Autumn 2000.

Released by Hidden Palace as part of Project Deluge. A later prototype with mostly text differences.
Windows 98 version
The Windows 98 version of Croc 2 was meant to be a bridge between the Playstation and the Dreamcast version, containing many changes which were to be present in the Dreamcast version. As such, the prototype pictures of the Dreamcast version may have been pictures from the PC version. Besides having controller mapping, graphical settings and audio settings, the PC version had:
# Higher quality and less blocky Croc model
# Higher quality textures
# Various corrections such as reversing the welcome sign in Oki-Doki and the removal of the back number stamp of Croc's kart.
# Removes a beta song in Rescue the Ice-trapped Gobbos level. The song (popularly called Save the Ice Trapped Gobbos 3) was one of many beta songs for both main Croc games and was placed in the game either mistakenly or on purpose to not waste a song. It was cut presumably to save space on the disc, as the size limit of the PC version was nearly met.
# Replaces the lower quality blue Swap Meet Pete Card in exchange for a higher quality Purple card.

Croc 2 June 13 1999 Prototype
Minigames
(Link)
The only thing known about the minigames is that there was more than one to be available.

Released by Hidden Palace as part of Project Deluge. A very late prototype released 17 days before final.
Cowboy Village
Cowboy Village was probably meant to be the new village in the Dreamcast port. It was meant to be inhabited by the Cowboy Gobbos shown in promotional images. It would have two levels

Cowboy Gobbo
These prototypes are known to have existed at some point, but currently have not been made available to the general public.
Seen only once in promotional art for Croc 2. He was meant for the cowboy village.

Croc 2 - Pre-July 1998
Cut Levels
This prototype was showcased at E3 in May of 1998, making this the earliest known release.
The game files indicate three levels were cut from the game.

The title shows as Croc II, and is the only known version of the game to do so. The playable level featured is a very early version of Croc Vs. Dantini Boat Race, where Croc instead rides on a raft through the level. Early monkey and ape enemies are present throughout.

Unknown Status
These prototypes are believed to exist, but there is no solid proof.

Croc 2 Sega Dreamcast Version
The Dreamcast version of Croc 2 was intended for release after the Playstation and PC versions, and was to add minigames, and a new village with presumably two more normal levels (as per "forty-two levels to play in total"). It is unknown if a prototype exists, but Jez San mentioned the port was "canned" implying development didn't get very far, if at all. It was officially cancelled in Autumn 2000, according to the Official Sega Dreamcast Magazine.

However, in posts made on Twitter by those working on the games, it was mostly just in talks. It confirms that the Cowboy Gobbos and by extension the Cowboy Village would have been present in this version, alongside a loop the loop minecart stage. Although a full prototype is unlikely to have existed, the posts suggests that level prototypes may have existed at some point.

Croc 2 Sega Saturn Version
The back of the Sega Saturn manual touted a release for Croc II in Christmas 1998. However, a Sega Saturn release never saw the light of day. It's unknown if any development was ever made.
