In the first game, they are depicted as pink and are featured in many of the levels. Croc may simply jump on them to advance higher in the air.
Jellies are found in random levels, and are used to help [[Croc]] elevate to higher levels.

In the second game, they are also used to bounce higher, but can only be purchased by [[Swap Meet Pete]] in his shop. As with most shop items, the maximum number of each type of jelly is 9. They can be placed only onto jelly placeholders which will then enable Croc to bounce on the jelly. If Croc uses a jelly which doesn't give enough of a boost, i.e. using an Orange jelly on a Red jelly placeholder, he will not be able to reach what was supposed to be reached with the correct jelly, and will have to exit the level in order to correctly use that particular jelly. It also works vice versa, as Red jellies can be used on Orange jelly placeholders, for example, but this is considered to be a waste of crystals/Red jellies.
[[File:Gummi_saver.png|thumb|A Gummi Saver]]They come in three different 'flavors': light blue ones (or sometimes orange) offer a small jump, green ones are lime flavored and offer a medium jump, and purple (or sometimes red) ones are strawberry flavored and offer the biggest jump. There are also Pink Jellies which are only found in a level and allows Croc to jump about as high as with an Orange/Blue Jelly. You can purchase these at the [[Swap Meet Pete's General Store]] in each [[Mainland|Village]]. They are used in specific marked locations within most normal stages, where Croc may place the Jelly, letting you reach otherwise unreachable locations. You are able to put whatever type of Jelly onto any marked location, but be warned, if you put an Orange Jelly where a Strawberry Jelly should be, you won't be able to reach high enough!

*The Jelly Jumps are known as Gummi Savers in the US release of the console game's sequel due to a licensing affiliation with the candies of the same name in America. In return for featuring Gummi Savers, Croc 2 appeared on approximately 6.5 million packets of Gummi Savers, and a [[Croc Contests|contest]] was run where the grand prize winner won a trip to Australia.
