This template should be used on user talk pages to notify blocked sock puppets and sockmasters blocked for sock puppetry.

{{subst:SockBlock
| master =
| suspected =
| blocked =
| notalk =
| color =

| masterblock =
| period =
| evidence =

| sig =
}}
Parameters
  • master – if the name of the blocked sock puppet's sockmaster account is known, use |master=accountname to specify that.
  • suspected=yes – if the account was blocked as a suspected sock puppet, use |suspected=yes. Note that if the masterblock parameter (see below) is set to yes, this parameter can't be used.
  • blocked=yes – if the blocked sock puppet's sockmaster account currently was blocked or banned at the time the sock puppet account was blocked, use |blocked=yes. Please note that if the masterblock parameter (see below) is set to yes, this parameter should not be used.
  • notalk=yes – if the blocked sock puppet's talk page access was also removed, use |notalk=yes.
  • color – if you don't want the default background colors, you can use |color=hexadecimal color code / color name.
  • masterblock=yes – if the message is about the sockmaster being blocked for sock puppetry, use |masterblock=yes.
  • period – if the masterblock parameter is set to "yes", |period=period can be used to specify the block length of the sockmaster account. By default it says "blocked temporarily".
  • evidence – if the masterblock parameter is set to "yes", |evidence=evidence can be added. Add a link (with brackets) to the evidence proving the sockmaster has operated multiple accounts.
  • sig=yes – if you want to sign the template, use |sig=yes.
