* This is one of the best places to gather lives/hearts. There are two right at the beginning of the level.
* This is the last jigsaw stage in Croc:Legend of the Gobbos.
* There are two stone dragon statues that are seen in this level.They are later seen behind Secret Sentinel/Crystal Dante is when he is revived at Crystal Island. Therefore its possible that they may have ressurected him or that they may be the guardians of his tomb.
* This level is one of two that has a dantini guarding the jigsaw piece, the other being Smash and See.
* Even if the player obtains this jigsaw piece and they don't have all of them e.g. last one is at Ice Bridge, the video of Crystal Island will still appear with Croc assembling the 8 pieces on Castle Island.

Jailhouse Croc is the second secret level of Castle Island. It can only be accessed for those that have collected all 6 Gobbos from Ballistic Meg's Fairway, Swipe Swiftly's Wicked Ride, Panic at Platform Pete's Lair. This level contains the 8th and final jigsaw piece.
