Welcome to the wiki! It's great to have you onboard (especially since I've fallen behind on updating articles with high quality screenshots).
If you're still having trouble with galleries, I always suggest going into the source editor and coding it. Like this:
<gallery> FILENAME.jpg </gallery>
Separate filenames like this:
File1.jpg
File2.jpg
File3.jpg
etc.
Hopefully that will help! If not, let me know what you're using (mobile or computer) and I'll see if I can offer better advice.
