Template:GameCroc Mobile: Jungle Rumble! is a Croc game for mobile phones released in October 2005. It was revealed by January 27th 2005 at the latest, and was developed by Morpheme.

Plot

The game's story is very simple. Baron Dante has returned and its up to Croc to save the day. The game begins in "the polluted swamp of disrepair," where Croc begins rescuing caged Gobbos. Throughout the game, Croc carries a mobile phone which he regularly receives calls from Gobbos to help him progress.

Gameplay

The game is an isometric platformer, a common genre of its platform and era. It has sixteen platforming levels within two worlds, and two boss fights against Baron Dante.

List of Levels

Description

Prepare yourself for action and adventure with the most radical reptile ever to grace the small screen as he battles through his latest adventure on your mobile phone! Help Croc run, jump and fight his way through 16 exciting levels in this 3D isometric game.

The nefarious Baron Dante has captured Croc's Gobbo friends. Croc must traverse the frantic levels, collect keys and free the Gobbos. Expert players can test their skills by collecting

all the gems hidden throughout the levels, ensuring the downfall of the evil Baron.

Reception

The game was showcased at E3 2005 by Morpheme. It was praised for "going the extra mile" with its complex level patterns with lots of hazards and puzzles, and for Croc's trademark sense of humour, such as the tutorial being presented as a phone call.[1] The game reached six figured sales in the first year with virtually no marketing.[2]

Trivia

  • The game's existence is thanks to Morpheme's want for a licensed character with a proven track record. Since Jez San owned Morpheme, he gave them permission to work with the Croc IP.[3]
