Croc Timeline

This Timeline focuses on everything about Croc's development history. 

Please note that some of the dates are uncertain and may be wrong, these dates are marked by brackets.

Timeline

Before 1996

• (Unknown Date) Argonaut creates a game prototype using Yoshi as the protagonist and pitches it to Nitendo but it is rejected. After that Argonaut changed the prototype to Croc.

1996

• [November 8th]: The Croc Tech Demo is released. 

1997

• [February 27th/ March]: The Croc V0.12 Beta is released.
• September 7th: Croc debuts at the European Computer Trade Show.
• September 29th: Croc: Legend of the Gobbos is released for Playstation in America.
• October 31st: Croc: Legend of the Gobbos is released for Playstation in Europe.
• November 26th: Croc: Legend of the Gobbos is released for PC in America.
• December 18th: Croc: Pau Pau Island  is released for Playstation in Japan.
• (Unknown Date): Croc: Legend of the Gobbos is released for Sega Saturn in America and Europe.

1998

• March 26th: Croc: Legend of the Gobbos is released for Sega Saturn in Japan.

1999

• June 30th: Croc 2 is released for Playstation in America.
• August 3rd: Croc 2 is released for Playstation in Europe.
• September 2nd: Croc Adventure  is released for Playstation in Japan.

2000

• February 27th: Croc 2 is released for PC in America
• June 6th: Croc: Legend of the Gobbos is released for Game Boy Colour in America.
• June 9th: Croc 2 is released for PC in Europe.
• December 1st: Croc: Legend of the Gobbos is released for Game Boy Colour in Europe.

2001

• January 25th: Croc 2 is released for Game Boy Colour in America.
• February 2nd: Croc 2 is released for Game Boy Colour in Europe.

2004

• [May 27th]: The website Croc Hero of the Gobbos, as well as the forum are created.
• [October]: Argonaut becomes defunct.

2005

• [September]: Croc Mobile: Jungle Rumble is released.

2006

• Fox Interactive becomes defunct.
• (Unknown Date) Croc Mobile: Volcanic Panic is released.

2008

• June 3rd: The Croc Wiki is created.

2009

• [September 6th]: The Croc Fan Forum is created.

2011

• [June 13th]: The second Croc Wiki is created.

2012

• [Soon after May 1st]: The second Croc Wiki is deleted.
• [December 18th]: The Croc Fan Forum is deactivated and replaced by CrocFans.net

2013

• (Unknown Date) The Croc betas are leaked. As a result CrocFans.net and the Croc Fan Forum are both deleted.

2014

• January 2nd: The Croc Hero of the Gobbos website and forums are deactivated.
